DOJ: Stop Wall Street bullying

We knew the big banks would play dirty in their fight against Richmond’s plan to stop the wave of foreclosures decimating our city’s communities. But we didn’t know they would stoop this low. Please sign the petition below to tell the bullies they won't win.

To Attorney General Eric Holder:

Please investigate the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and major banks' plan to redline the City or Richmond and other communities considering local principal reduction programs. Please take every action in your power to put a stop to it.

My home in Los Alamos, NM is worth nearly 50% less than I paid for it 12 years ago. Because of the privatization of the national laboratories, lay-offs are rampant and pay cuts now are the norm. This is a crisis in national security. Terrorizing loyal citizens who have voluntarily subjected themselves to the scrutiny of the FBI on a regular basis, given up most of their constitutional rights, and lived with national secrets hidden inside their souls to the extent that many have no resumes because they cannot publish their work accomplishments, is absolute proof of that these banks and all branches of the Federal government (including the judiciary which was the last to fall after allowing “no holds barred” corporate bribery in the form of unlimited campaign contributions) is engaged in a full-court press against the American people.

They also have introduced a bill into Congress making buy back of mortgages at fair market value using eminent domain ILLEGAL (IT’S IN THE CONSTITUTION)! Why don’t Americans vote out these bank backed republicans? Have the 1% become so financially powerful that they can buy any law, and any lawmaker, that permits them to continue to suck all the money out what’s left of our country? I know they confuse people and lie during campaigns, but if enough of us see through their monstrous greed and complete disregard for the American people, there may be hope. I have never seen such a complete contempt for basic human values. More of the voting public needs to know about this, especially if they are into local reps, city councilors, and judges (like in Richmond).
