Save Jaymie's Home

Jaymie_v_Jaime_ad_friendly_meme.pngI paid my mortgage for 28 years, in total around $425,000, until I just couldn’t keep up with the predatory loan any longer. Chase demanded $255,000 from me before auctioning my house off in a sheriff sale, when Chase bought it back at the current market value of $81,000! My roots are firmly embedded in this neighborhood, I am a part of this community, and I want the deal Chase gave to themselves. Instead, Chase wants to throw me out TODAY OCT 8!

Phone Number: 212-270-1111

Sample Script:

My name is _____________ and I’m calling about the attempts by Chase to evict Jaymie Kelly from the home she’s lived in for 30 years and paid for five times. After she was caught in a predatory loan, Chase refused to negotiate--instead they demanded $225,000 for the home, and then auctioned her home off at a sheriff’s sale. Another part of Chase bought it for $81,000. Give her the same deal you gave yourselves and keep her in her home. Thank you.

UPDATE, Oct 9: Thanks to a blockade of 150 community members and over 350 calls, we successfully BLOCKED Jaymie's eviction on Tuesday, Oct 8! We know the sheriffs' deputies will come by Friday so please keep calling. It's working!

If this statement started with “Chase Morgan held a gun to my head, and forced me to sign a predatory load agreement” you would have my sympathies. You chose this mortgage. My guess is that it had a balloon payment or shifting interest rate after a certain time period. If they are are violating a contract, that is a completely different story. If so, tell me what it was I will send $$ to help prosecute
